Which trousers can you wear with compression tights?

I have had lymphoedema from the waist downwards for nine years. During the summer I wear loose, baggy linen trousers which are fine but every winter I have the same problem: trying to find winter trousers made of a material which doesn't cling to the compression tights. Before I got lymphoedema I always wore corduroy jeans but I find these are particularly bad at clinging. Most denim jeans are just as bad except for one brand, no longer made, which were brilliant but I've worn them so much they're wearing out! The problem with acrylic or polyester trousers is the static so they cling for a different reason. What do other people wear? Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Hi Caroline111. I mainly wear trousers made of a stretch material including stretch jean style and when I walk my dog for between two and four hours every day I wear stretch outdoor walking trousers as I also have a urostomy after having cancer so I have the pressure of compression tights and trousers as well. I feel very comfortable as I also wear the same when working on the local community garden. Happy shopping and I hope you find something comfortable as I suppose it depends how large your Lymphoedema swelling is as well.

Thanks Blondieone. It's true, the outoor walking trousers are really good but all the ones I've got have pockets halfway down the leg and I'm looking for something smarter. Probably need to so some more investigating!

I've been wearing stretch trousers from Next. May be worth you taking a look.

Hi Caroline - It has been a while since I wore trousers because I went Low Carb some years ago and now I cannot get trousers with wide enough leg and smaller waist! However, I always lived in trousers for many years and all materials. But, I always wore normal tights over the top and still do.

I found that wearing gaucho pants works well. The legs are wide enough for wraps even,
