Have you been measured for one by a lymph specialist?

This sounds like your sleeve is too tight for you or the band at the top is in the wrong place for you. So gavin's question is spot on. I have worn Mediven and Jobst sleeves and both have been OK. My current sleeves are Jobst with silicone 'dots' on inner top band which stops the top slipping down. Best bet is to contact whoever provided you with sleeve and complain until you get a better service. Good luck xx

Agree with comments above - sounds like you have been measured inaccurately. Go back to your clinic (ask for an urgent appointment, don't be fobbed off!) and get it re-measured. Could also be a problem with the actual product - perhaps the style(s) they have tried are not right.

1)I agree, try new style or maybe new size--I've got a sigvaris sleeve, which I've learned to like, but I hate my mediven sleeve. 2)It is possible, esp. if your lymphoedema is bad or your arm is especially mis-shapen that you might need a custom-made sleeve--talk to your lymphoedema nurse about it (warning: expensive and possibly not nhs) 2)Finally, how long have you been wearing it? They do take some getting used to. It sometimes helps to build up slowly, i.e. wear them for an hour or two and then let your arm breathe, then put it back on after a couple of hours, repeat. Even now if, for some reason my lymphoedema is bad, I take my sleeve off early in the evening and just leave it elevated. There are other options besides a sleeve, too: wrapping, night sleeves, etc. Keep trying and keep talking to a lymph nurse or specialist.
