High BLood Pressure, Kidney failure, cause discovered
I have been on very
low
sodium
diet
past 5 years, with
low
protein added last NOvember. Diet does not seem to make much difference. I thought most people lose weight on chemo, but since one of my drugs is super high dose steroids, I have gained 15# in a month.

Low sodium diet
Hi everyone!I am here, on this forum for my husband's CKD/proteinuria (all unexplained- kidney biopsy was "normal" as well as his genetic test). Anyway, his Nephrologist put him on low sodium November 30th. I went on it with him and haven't had a migraine since! So for those of you who are supporting

F3 Fibrosis Regression
My Drs advice was to go on a
low
sodium
and
low
sugar
diet
and not a drop of alchohol. I have a fibroscan in another 4-5 months and hoping to see some regression with all the weight loss, plus gym 4x a week plus loads of walking everyday.

Newly diagnosed; so scared, confused, and depressed
She later emailed me info on a
low
sodium
diet
and info on a diabetic diet (nothing about the cholesterol), but the two diets seem so contradictory in many ways that it's so hard to know what to eat. I know fresh foods are best, but I'm struggling so much.

Diagnosis= mild kidney atrophy
I did read however, I can get “ medical treatment” and follow a
diet
low
in
sodium
, phosphorous and potassium. My sodium and potassium levels are both in range, I’m not sure about the phosphorus. Obviously I want to be proactive and keep the function that I have now.

Dietary restrictions and the workplace...
I requested a salad to accommodate
low
sodium
diet
. I was told no special treatment. Won't be showing up to that lunch despite being the team lead. Thoughts? Am I being the unreasonable one? I feel as if society as a whole excludes those who must eat differently or die a early death.

Benefits of low carb and heart-health
I know this is a controversial topic, but would like to put it out there anyway and get some views. There is a massive debate about fat vs carb and its merits on health in general. Any personal anecdotes or research that points to following a low carb diet for healthy heart health? What do cardiologists

Low carb for epilepsy
I've been having a chat with my epilepsy nurse about trying a low carb diet. She is happy for me to give it a go and says some people find it reduces the amount of seizures they have. Has anyone else tried it?

weight loss question please
I would welcome some advice. Been on prednisone since February 2023, also on tocilizumab injections. Currently taking 7mg prednisone. I am trying to lose some of my weight gain. I tried 1500 calories a day and lost nothing. Now doing low carb but weight not moving. My daughter gets married in August

gallbladder removal
Hello, I had my gallbladder removed a week ago today (keyhole). Recovery from surgery has been an absolute breeze, other than I slept for 4 days solid; despite telling pre op nurse, anaesthetist, recovery and ward nurse that I have PA and B12 deficiency and reacted very badly to an anaesthetic 10 years
