Just been diagnosed with PMR 3 weeks after having Gall Bladder removed??
On 13th February 2024 I had my Gall bladder removed so dealt with 3 weeks of diarrhoea and eating a
low
fat
diet
. Lost about 11lb in weight but eating better now. PMR has knocked me sideways and came out of the blue.

low

Never feel well
I do exercise and follow a
low
fat
diet
but nothing seems to get better. Every time I mention any of this to the doctor she checks my bloods and says everything is fine, I have no idea about bloods and what they should be I asked for results to be given to me but these are what I got?

weight, diet and statins?
to increase (normally a
low
fat
diet
is recommended) Getting really despondent with the weight gain, and general sense of being unfit, and my clothes are feeling a bit too snug now!

Pain relief.
I used to be able to control the pain by sticking to a very
low
fat
diet
. But for the last 18months I've been in pain every day, I have also found that the pain becomes worse when I'm walking which is really getting me down as it is hard to avoid walking it is necessary.

Neurologist update and gaviscon
I switched to a
low
fat
diet
, no gluten (I'm gluten intolerant) on Sunday to try and get ahold of my reflux and stop taking the gaviscon. Since then I haven't taken one gaviscon and my pain has been so much more tolerable. Just an observation on my part but something to consider.

Gallstone
During this time they were saying it was IBS as well and that I should be managing things through
diet
. However for months I was eating
low
fat
diet
. In the end they said to me it's not IBS it is my gallbladder. They have put me on omeprazle and cycziline as well as Rennes.

Steroids
I read that he needs a
low
salt and
low
fat
diet
. Also he needs to eat foods with potassium and he should take Vitamin D. Should he speak to his GP even though the steroids are being managed by his neurologist? Or should he buy over the counter Vitamin D etc? Thank you all.

Struggling to bring down blood sugars
I was expecting
low
carb
diet
,
fat
loss and higher muscle mass would all contribute to reducing my HbA1C over time however it's more or less flat for the last 1.5 years. Any suggestions on how to bring the sugars down?

Low carb for epilepsy
I've been having a chat with my epilepsy nurse about trying a low carb diet. She is happy for me to give it a go and says some people find it reduces the amount of seizures they have. Has anyone else tried it?

weight loss question please
I would welcome some advice. Been on prednisone since February 2023, also on tocilizumab injections. Currently taking 7mg prednisone. I am trying to lose some of my weight gain. I tried 1500 calories a day and lost nothing. Now doing low carb but weight not moving. My daughter gets married in August
