Friday morning I got my first COVID-19 vaccine. I have severe persistent asthma and work in health care. My pulm doctor strongly encouraged me to get it. I was lucky enough to be included to be invited at my facility.

Woohoo! Good for you! Thanks for letting us know!! So great to hear these stories :-) Keep being an ambassador--people need to know someone who got it and is doing fine and had little or no side effects. That will the biggest inflection point for those who are doubtful to decide to get it for themselves. Take care!

That's good! My doctor told me not to get tested because he said if I had the virus I'd be dead. I like his dry humor, LOL. But, I have lots of allergies and they say if you're allergic to eggs, don't get the vaccine. I'm allergic to eggs. And, I know that many vaccines have sulfate in them as a stabilizer, and sulfate is one of my absolutely worst allergies.I'm very happy you can get the vaccine. I just have to be extra cautious.

Yes, you do!

I have many environmental allergies but I don't have the allergies you do.

Yes, it’s important for people to follow up with their doctor or allergist to see if they can take the vaccine and to it in a safe environment (doctors office) or hospital clinic etc if possible and learn to more about the vaccine.

I got dose #2 in early January. I had some chills and felt unwell for 36 hours and had a sore arm(very sore arm!) on day 3 after getting my vaccine but never had a fever and woke up fine the next day. My site itched for several days after that but no redness, swelling, or signs of allergy.

I'm proud to be a #covid19vaccineembassador 💪
