As I've always had asthma, I have a lot of things that have to be different. Pets have always been a non-starter & we try to keep the house as free of dust as is practical. I used to have problems with flowers, but nowadays I find that they don't bother me so much.

We also end up having to pay people to do some of the gardening as I either aren't physically strong enough or worried about the allergies.

Since my ABPA diagnosis, we have to go to some lengths to deal with any damp or mould we find around the house as well - it can all add up to a real chore at times.

I have been on allergy shots for a year and a half- we have a dog and I was afraid my family would not keep me 😉 The shots have helped me tremendously!

I have my worst ever episode of bronchial asthma for last 2 weeks. It has been a wake up call. Need to address issues of triggers in house. Joined this community to find out how to go about it. First..... Will get rid of bedroom carpet. But trying to research what to replace it with. Please can anyone suggest solution? Many thanks

Sold our old home and moved into newly built home with NO: carpet, throw rugs, fabric shades, curtains or drapes. Also have a high efficiency air filter system on the HVAC system. We put our dog down in 2017 after 14 wonderful years of her being around so things have been easier on my asthma being triggered due to the changes!

I definitely need a better air filter system...

So sorry to hear about your sweet dog.

I have had to switch to everything to unscented. That is the only way I can be able to breath. This asthma is something else.
