When you are feeling well (i.e. free of asthma symptoms) do you always take your preventer inhaler?

I had to read this question again I don't take rescue unless I need it but always bring it with me as my symptoms can change very fast

If my condition has been stable for @ least a week without symptoms, I pause. If the asthma kicks up again I restart. I try to be observant of whether my rescue inhaler frequency begins to suddenly bump up...

During periods of no symptoms for weeks I stop completely until the next flare.

I was on 3-month QVAR at the beginning of year. I consulted my allergist, who was the one prescribed, if it's necessary to refill for another 3-month dosage. He said that it's okay to stop as I have been symptom-free for about 3 months, plus it's part of my action plan.

I think it's always good to keep communicating by email or call with your provider before refill or stop taking any prescription, so your provider can keep your condition on track

I take my symbicort everyday regardless of how I feel. It is the reason that my asthma is stable. I have Spireva that I add if I start having trouble.

If your symptoms free...why take medication when you don't need too. Let your body does its own thing to stop the asthma symptoms. I use buteyko to control most of my asthma symptoms. But I do use my medication when I need too.

Now I do! In the past I've been careless.
