Tremors

This sucks, everyday is something new. I finally got over the dizziness spells and now I have tremors. My body feels like it’s shaking but it’s not and it’s so annoying. Anyone else get this? Am I going crazy? My doctor said it’s due too anxiety. But I haven’t been super anxious and no attacks lately.

Yes terrible feeling. Seems one thing goes and other things come. I sometimes doctors say it's anxiety beca use they don't know what to say it is because they just don't know and get rid of us with oh it's just anxiety. Personally i am over it.

@dorsey I believe doctors know what they are talking about. They don’t want us to die on their watch. I just get in my head and convince myself that I have something else going on. But I just pray it’s anxiety.

I don’t get tremors but I’m having muscles spasms/twitches

I get those too

Mine is mainly my legs and some in my arms. They can feel a bit achey too. Had them almost every day for three months.

I get like this when I've had a big episode of anxiety before. So, for some days I have tremors, I feel weak and tired too. I don't know if it helps.

Yes I had this (along with the dizziness you mentioned) and yes it is 100% anxiety based. The more attention you pay to it the longer it will stick around. It's such a sick joke that life throws us-to have to "be ok" with something that is scaring the crap out of us in order for it to go away! But I did it and you can do it too. Just know in your heart that the tremors are not going to harm you and once you relax in that knowledge they will go away😊

I hope this happens with my muscle twitches. So hard to ignore them though.

I had muscle twitching too...more like myoclonic jerks. Like my shoulders would suddenly shrug or my hip would move. It scared the crap out of me but I noticed that often it would happen immediately after I thought about the twitches and if I was distracted or focusing outward on the environment they almost never happened. That reassured me it that it was due to anxiety and they gradually went away after a few weeks.

I hope mine does the same, had them about three months. They’re little spasms, mainly in my legs but the odd one in my arms or around my middle. I was beside myself with worry over Xmas.

Oh are you talking about fasciculations? Yes I have that too. I asked a physiatrist about that he said it's a harmless oddity. I've had those all my life. Sometimes it will last for several months in one spot, and sometimes after I stretch in bed they happen in 5-6 different spots! I'm so used to it it doesn't bother me at all. Currently my pinkie toe will stay outstretched for almost a minute after I spread my toes out...and will quiver sometimes before it goes back into place. This had been going on since last Spring. Physiatrist said it's nothing to worry about. He is my colleague at work and extremely knowledgeable and caring individual (everybody turns to him) so I have full faith in what he told me😊

That’s good to know. My dad was diagnosed with something last October and I’m scared it’s the same.

Sometimes they feel like little bubbles popping all over my lower legs, and other times it’s a repetitive twitch in one spot. It’s all day everyday but I don’t really notice it when I’m busy.

I have read that an anxiety often causes them. But I haven't really noticed an association for me personally. Then again because it's a symptom that doesn't bother me anxiety can't get it's ugly grip on them to make them worse. It will only grip onto the symptoms that worry you.

in reply to Miniwheats

I know and they then become a massive focus which you constantly check.

I have just started doing this about two weeks ago! Before that I had a facial twitch for three months. Shocker as soon as my shaking started my face twitch stopped... also something.... I feel almost like I’m vibrating inside! It’s mainly my shoulders, neck and back of head. I of course always google and then freak myself out even more. I totally understand what your dealing with.

O and also I have not been that anxious before this and had not had any attacks for about a month or so until this started. It’s almost like when my body realized I was doing well it wanted to remind me that I have anxiety.

in reply to Dogmom55

It’s true, if it’s not one thing, it’s another. Then the thing that started first stops and you focus on the new thing!

I’m here to chat through pm if you ever need. Sometimes just talking to someone who can relate helps me a lot.

Thank you, same here.

What have your doctor said about the vibrating in your shoulder neck and the back of your head? I had a EEG Saturday and waiting on test results and going tomorrow for a x ray of my neck and back and I haven’t heard from my doctor going on 3 weeks and am still waiting on test results

Mine say anxiety or a pinched nerve. They have never ordered more testing because she says she doesn't think it's anything major.

Does it feel like an earthquake all through your inner body like if you are lying down the couch or bed feels as if its moving? Then you realize its coming from inside you. Its like trapped adrenaline. I too noticed it more as the anxiety and panic began to fade..like on to the next and maybe the last stage of the anxieties fight to hold you in its losing grip! :-)
