Hi, I'm currently taking rhodiola rosea which is a herbal tablet, I was wondering if they would effect my contraceptive pill -micrpgynon 30 as I feel like the herbal tablets aren't working since going back onto the pill after my 7 day break... Thanks

I really don't know the answer to this but hope someone might do and reply

But what I would do is be safe rather than sorry and the pharmacists are very up to date with these things , not sure if you are in the UK but Boots pharmacists will answer you any questions you have , you can phone them if you don't want to go in or of course your Doctor or maybe the nurse at the surgery would be able to tell you for sure

If you find out do let us know as then if anyone else comes along with the same question we will know what the answer is

I did ask at the doctors about this but they said that they are unable to answer as the herbal medication isn't in their 'doctor medication book' which means they can't say for defiante which is very frustrating! I would of thought that they would be able to say as they are there to help but there you go I'm not going to express my opionion about gps .

O Emma that is shocking and I don't believe them for one minute that they don't know sounds like they cannot be bothered !

Try asking either in a chemist or Boots or even though I would never tell anyone to use Google especially to research their health maybe this once you could put it into Google the question and see what it says , or if you have a family planning clinic they should know the answer if you gave them a quick telephone call
