Your welcome whywhy,I think these little surveys help us to understand that anxiety and panic attacks come in many guises and different situations xxxx

I voted 'all of the above' as each one has the potential to lead to panic, though none is necessarily more panic-inducing than another when viewed individually. It is an accumulation of events coming together at any one time that does it for me.

in reply to robbie12

Hi robbie

Nice to see your reply :-)

I think a lot with anxiety feel that all will be relevant

I know certain things trigger me more than others yet sometimes when one comes out of the blue I realize like you it has been a bit of everything building up

Thank you for you comment & vote :-)

in reply to celtic2746

Hi David

Sorry you are not feeling to good , maybe if you did a post if you felt you could more members will see it & be able to offer some support :-) ( no pressure though )

I am just thinking if the meds you are taking could be making you feel this way when you wake up , it could be an idea to have a word with your doctor about them ?

When I am physically/mentally exhausted. Also when attempting to Multi-task (trying to do 10+ things all @ same time!). OCD also attributes to Panic Attacks! Worrying about loved ones health too.

in reply to loppyloo61

Hi betty

You seem to be like a few of us , to much happening all at once triggers us of as well as the ocd I can relate to as well

Thanks for reply. I found it very interesting that most of us react to the same things that trigger Panic Attacks, very interesting. I hope you are doing as well as can be expected. I do feel little more positive this week. Especially after I did Post had tremendous support, thank you for yours & everyone else's.

Sending, positive, healing, calming vibes to you.

Love Lynn XX

I feel like I'm getting a panic attack when everything around me "stops being real." Especially when I feel this way while struggling to fall asleep even if I'm exhausted

Normally when I feel unwell or have a weird feeling. But most times it is random. Why have a panic attack when washing the pots. Crazy isn't it!

Hope all have a great night. Xfactor on tonight. Yipee

in reply to mewmew

Hi mewmew

Why have a panic attack when washing the pots made me think & all I could come up with is maybe as some have said it could have been a build up of things & you just happen to be washing the pots when it finally all gets to you , but a very good question why then

Thank you for your comment & vote :-)

Hi Donver

Yes the going out I relate to & to many things happening all at once , I think these can be the main ones even though the others depending can bring them on to

Possibly at night

in reply to marcusvanbreugel

Hi Marcus

I think a lot of us have more difficult parts of the day when we feel anxious & more prone to have a panic attack , night time been one of them as there maybe more time to think & less distraction

Thank you for your comment & vote :-)

Dear Whywhy,

Thank you for your feedback with regards to possible reasons why some of us have panic attacks at night. The word distraction is interesting.

Being ill, especially with a temperature triggers mine.

I get my worse ones at night when I'm just dozing off and my heart decides to leap out of my body to wake me up!!!

Travelling can cause them.

Feeling overwhelmed by too many demands on my time and resources.

Anything, place, etc I'm unfamiliar with causes me to over think which causes panic.

Oh dear reading this list I'm starting to see why it's called Generalised Anxiety Disorder!!!
