hi whywhy, a lot of people who have anxiety do not know there is help for anxiety sufferers, not only through your appointment with your doctor, but other help can come from him, i.e. crisis teams who can be at your side with just a phone call, nobody needs to be on their own now when dealing with this awful condition, not everyone is strong enough to be able to deal with debilitating effects of high anxiety / panic attacks. as long as the question is said in a caring manner and the person means well in asking it , i think its ok, buts thats a personal thing. love jasper xx

HI why x I think with mental health issues the more people who talk about it openly the more that others will see you don't have to be afraid to come forward and get help with the issues they face x I am more than happy for others to know about my anxiety and the battles I face and to get the help I need in battling onward x So if someone suggests help I go for it as I know that it could be the thing that gets me back to me :) xx Donver

Hi Donver :-)

Yes it is so much better than it used to be that we can talk about MH problems more openly & not feel any stigma hopefully towards the subject as we are very strong people that need at times that extra little help :-)

I'd also be surprised they mentioned it

Hi Jules

I would be fine if someone showed an interest & had noticed I needed support but as long as it was done in a sensitive way :-)

Thank you for you vote & comment :-)

Well where I live they act like you have the plague or something but yet I see it in others an they don't even realize what is happening. Once you have it they label you like putting a tattoo on forehead hey I have anxiety if I had to do all over again I wouldn't tell anyone in my family or friends uggggg

Hi mimii

Lovely to see you :-)

Oh I am sorry to read how people react towards you that is terrible

In the UK we seem to be a lot more open about mental health problems & yes some are still ignorant but they seem to be more the minority or so I have found now a days

If it was before i knew i had anxiety and i felt they eere being mean i wouldnt like it. But if it wss well meant after diagnosis i would be fine. If wasn't meant nicely i would be upset.

Hi caz

Yes I can understand & feel the same way & as long as it is said in a caring way then I would be fine with it
