wl We can all understand how worrying it can be but please don’t fret.

HIV is now not considered a terminal illness, it’s considered a chronic illness like diabetes or asthma which can be controlled with medication. Just one pill a day should work and you can lead a normal life and once you have found the right medication for you the side effects will be minimal and you will not be infectious and should live a long healthy life.

The hardest part is the emotional side of it.

That said HIV is actually quite hard to get, if your partner was not on medication then there is a risk but either way you and he or she will be able to have a normal sex life once medication is in place.

Try to be strong, it won’t be long before you know.
