Is chiropractice any use for adults with cp?

Hello,

Does anyone have experience of using a chiropractor as an adult with cp?

The reported experience from people who have used it for children seems to be “our child is happier”. That is nice, but I do not know if it applies to adults.

Thank you.

Chiropractic care is essential to keeping healthy nerve flow, as well as eliminating pain. I recommend combining it with massage therapy and acupuncture, if possible. Each vertebrae is responsible for different nerves that control the health and function of your body. If you have a subluxation, the nerves can't relay the messages to the area's. Muscles start to compensate for the misalignment, causing more pain and spasm. To understand chiropractic care and acupuncture more clearly, I relate the body to a super highway or interstate. Let's say there's 3 lanes of traffic. If one car gets into an accident, it affects all 3 lanes, causing delays, slowing the flow (of messages, blood, lymph, etc in your body). This blockage, if left that way over time, will cause further delays (more symptoms arising, increased pain, decreased range of motion, etc). By using chiropractic care and acupuncture, the highways open up, the flow is returned, and the body can start to heal. Remember to be patient, your body didn't get to its state of

"dis-ease" (imbalance or lack of homeostasis which cause discomfort, pain, spasm, declining health, etc.) overnight, it broke down over time. It takes time to repair and rebuild.

Try different treatments and providers, think of them as "Your team" of people that maintain your health, your body's balance, and improve your quality of life. Every person can tailor their team, to suit the concerns and issue's they are having. There's no magic recipe for all, create the one that is best for you!

I hope this explains why everyone, regardless of age or condition, should consider complimentary alternative medicine to improve quality of life.
