Pbc hot flushes

Hi last month I was diagnosed pbc aih stage 4 cirrhosis. In the past week I’ve started have hot flushes like people describe from the menopause. I completely finished the menopause 7 years ago (no symptoms from it ) so know these flushes won’t be from that . So does anyone have any idea what these hot flushes are ? They only last 5 or so minutes

Here's a response from someone on our member chat facebook group: I’m so sorry to hear of the recent diagnosis. Has the lady started on any new medications? It may be worth discussing with her consultant/ GP or pharmacist, apparently for a small number of women hot flushes can re-occur for up to 10 years after symptoms of menopause stop, so it may be that any new medications or indeed the PBC itself might have had an affect on hormones.

In addition to Rachel’s pertinent comments, hot flushes can occur in a number of medical conditions. She may have another undiagnosed disease that is causing this problem. This is another reason to suggest seeing her doctor to discuss how she is feeling.

Hi there. I put mine down to PBC-related autonomic dysfunction - I don’t seem to have a functioning temperature button.
