Antibiotic Question

Hi. Im having to take anti biotics for a UTI for 3 months. I am wondering how I can find out which ones are the safest. My liver results have all gone to the normal level so Im really worried things will all change. Also it appears 2 Gps have conflicting ideas on what I should take.

Hi Cazzy - we really can't comment on this question. What may be good for one patient (safest) may not be good for another. If your doctors are saying your LFTs are within range then they will no doubt be monitoring you to try and make sure that they stay that way. If you are worried then it might be worthwhile asking for a telephone appointment with your GP to talk it through.

Presuming you have had a transplant, have you considered phoning one of transplant team or specialist nurse?
