Hepatitis A

So I had a test done yesterday that came back positive for hepatitis A. I have no idea what this is how I got or what to do about it especially cuz it’s Saturday and I can’t talk to a dr until Monday and to top it off someone I saw in Wednesday just tested positive for covid so I’ve been freaking out about that already. I have no idea what to do and I just want to cry. I’ve been feeling my life slowly decline for 6 months now and idk if I’ve had it that long or if it’s just now happening cuz my body is slowly decaying. Does anyone have experience with this?

It is a viral infection of your liver that is caught by eating something that had it in. Usually it will clear up given time and normally doesn't cause liver damage. I don't know if there are any drugs for it but the vast majority of people will recover from it. It would be more serious if it was hepatitis B or C they can cause liver damage.

Hepatitis A is contracted by ingesting human feces from an infected person. There is no cure, but should clear up by its self in a few months. It is very uncommon here in the UK: nhs.uk/conditions/hepatitis-a/
