my mum - end stage liver failure
The hospital told me on Friday that this is part of end stage
liver
failure
, but we weren’t aware she had that. They apologised but said a doctor needs to discuss it further. Since then there hasn’t been a doctor available over the weekend to talk to us and we are left in limbo and very worried.

Alchoholic liver failure
My 55 year old brother has been diagnosed with alcoholic
liver
failure
and we are at our wits end. He has been an inpatient for 10 days and the communication has been awful. Since he was admitted his condition has gone downhill.

They’ve been really awful, insensitive, some of the nurses don’t seem to understand much about
liver
failure
or the complication and the assessment process itself has not been completed properly.

Hepatologist called my liver 'recompensated'
I've not had any alcohol in three and half years, since I suffered a
liver
failure
, yellow skin, fainting, loss of energy, the whole thing. Great care and modern meds brought me back.

Update
Hi, my partner is still in hospital with what we were told was
liver
failure
/decomp Cirrhosis. They seem to think its now Alcoholic Hepatitis as his last US scan doesn't really suggest Cirrhosis and he has no ascites. He is still yellow and is having a colonoscopy today.

I was seriously ill with a deep rooted infection which had tipped my

into acute on chronic
liver

. They diagnosed cirrhosis and advised me to change my lifestyle or I wouldn’t be around much longer…and very nearly didn’t make it through on that occasion.
