levodopa or not levodopa
So the new young doctor said I should take
Levodopa
and that the dyskinesia caused by
Levodopa
is a myth because nowadays with low dosage this doesn’t happen. I don’t want to take it but my husband insists I should try. It’s my body and I will do whatever I decide is good for me.

Have any one heard or tried L-Tyrosine ?
My doctor said that you can try it, but, should not take it with
levodopa
the same time, should take it apart from
levodopa
. Has someone tried it ?

Citicoline: "patients treated with citicoline experienced a significant worsening 45 days after the medication was discontinued". Updated.
I was not taking very much
levodopa
to begin with so reducing
levodopa
was not very important to me.

What kind of "unusual body movements" does stopping Levodopa cause?
Cutting back on
Levodopa
a little seems to lesson, but farther reduction seems to make worst.
Am I trying to reduce
too quickly? A listed side effect of
Levodopa
withdrawal is unusual body movements.

Effect stacking
Hello everyone, understanding my difficulties that I write in the diary, I came across the term "stacking effects" on the forum, which is mentioned in the dosage and understanding of the effect of
levodopa
. What is 'effect stacking' and how to recognize it. Thank you.

How Much Carbidopa Levodopa After 5-10 Years? Any other meds?
I don't want "
Levodopa
phobia" to lead to bad decisions, but I'm also afraid of dyskinesia and other long-term effects of increased medication.

Real-time measurement of glucose as a proxy for levodopa concentration?
First directly, to measure glucose levels throughout the
levodopa
cycle (typically about 3 to 4 hours from dose to dose). Secondly indirectly, given the suggested connection between glucose and
levodopa
[2], it may be possible to use glucose as a proxy for
levodopa
.

Peak doses of levodopa - how extreme are your symptoms?
In 35 min the
levodopa
concentration in blood reaches peak level and the above-described events become unbearable. I also develop dystonia which disappears when the Madopar wears off.

Dietary Approaches to Improve Efficacy and Control Side Effects of Levodopa Therapy in Parkinson's Disease: A Systematic Review
I was surprised to find one of the ingredients was listed as a major contraindication with
levodopa
. L-Phenylalanine. Dug a little deeper and it related to protein and impact on
levodopa
. Found an interesting article on nutrition and PD too.
