Practice Meditation or Mindfulness?

Does anyone practice meditation and mindfulness?

What do you find it beneficial for? Healing for the mind? Or does anyone find it beneficial for managing any pain you experience due to Leukodystrophy?

I have been meditating (not as regularly as one should) for 30 years and even with with my irregular practice, the benefits have been immense! Pain or discomfort of one form or another - in body or mind - is a common experience of every living being and pts with leukodystrophies definitely have more than the fair share share of that. I have, undoubtedly, found that meditation has helped me manage this pain better and reduced the sense of 'suffering' associated with the pain.
