Hi Georginalott I think I understand your post? Are you both isolating and concerned about a hospital appointment in 2 weeks? It may be postponed but each case will decided on risks have you called the hospital? Are you both isolating together? I am guessing this is the case as you are also worrying about how to get groceries. Our blog here may help leukaemiacare.org.uk/suppor... go to the section of support if you have no one to fetch food or medicines. If you live in England, there is a help service that you can sign up to, you do not have to have received a letter first: gov.uk/coronavirus-extremel.... Nick

Hi, it is so difficult to get a home delivery for food from supermarkets. If you are an existing Sainsburys on line customer you can follow their instructions on the site. People do not understand individual blood cancers so it is worth just using the words blood cancer.

I think we are all having to shop differently, perhaps we have been spoilt, and as opposed to expect to find what you need, it is seeing what is available and how to work with those items.

I think all these logistical problems add to my heightened fears and anxieties at these extraordinary times. As for the NHS letters I believe some people have received them and others haven't, I believe they were hoping to send them out by the end of the month. The main thing is that you both take lots of care and stay safe. Keep posting how you both are and the Leukaemia Care Charity helpline is open Monday - Friday 9am until 5pm and they have a special evening service on a Thursday and Friday 7pm - 10pm. The number is freephone 08088 010 444.
