CLL TREATMENT

I am looking at treatment in the near future:/

With the dep 17 marker, and autoimmune thrombocytopenia. I am better though.

One DR. States antibioties and rituxamab.....the other says ibrutinib.....

Is ibrutnib contra indicated in use due to autoimmune thrombocytopenia?

Sorry my friend, but I honestly haven't a clue what you are talking about! I have CLL in the UK for 18 months and am on the Watch & Wait regime. The docs are just looking at my blood cell count but no hint of treatment yet. I know my white blood cell count is 32 whatever that means.

Would you be kind enough to explain your post to me. Like I say, I haven't a clue !

I have been on wait and watch fir 5 years. I now have an autoimmune disease..thrombocytopenia.....low platelet count.....

I was given steroids and Immunoglobulin therapy.

I am now at the treatment stage. I do believe....

Wondering if ibrutnib or antibodies with rituaxamab would be the front line choseo or treatment....

Which one staves the CLL off more.

I have no desire to stay on steroids...and for of a horrible infection....I had rather die of organ failure.....

Choices and decisions must be put into a plan immediately. Need to get all my healthcare team involved and on the same page

Dr. Lamanna describes various autoimmune diseases and their relationship to CLL. Dr. Lamanna also stresses that autoimmune specialists and your CLL specialist should be communicating to streamline your standard of care

You need to get your doctors together on this. They need to agree if the autoimmunity may be treated before CLL treatment or combined with CLL treatment.

Regarding your question about autoimmunity conditions and Ibrutinib contraindication??
