I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia this past summer and was given amitryptaline. Because I tend towards being allergic to medications I didn't want to stay on it and was concerned about long-term effects. So I looked in to LDN and finally found a doc to prescribe it. I have been on it for 2.5 weeks at 1.5 mg and will titrate to 4.5. Mostly I haven't noticed a difference yet but I am less congested at night (it helps with the immune response) and I was sleeping better. WARNING: I was never a big drinker. Alcohol tended to hit me harder and I never enjoyed more tha 3 drinks really. But socially I would have a glass of wine on occasion with no problem. The other night I had a mojito but not even 1/4 of the way through it, the alcohol hit me like a hammer. After that, I will not be drinking at all on LDN. So if you're sensitive to alcohol anyway this may make you extremely sensitive!

I also deal with Fibromyalgia, we are very sensitive to medications. It took about 4 months to experience pain relief, my sleep was helped the first two weeks. We all respond differently to LDN, some patients take up to a year to experience relief - others find it fairly quickly.
Alcohol is another one that is different for each of us. The first two years I was on LDN I was extra sensitive to alcohol, this past year and a half has been different - am back to normal. Some patients choose to skip LDN the night the want to have a couple glasses of wine, etc.
I wish you the best on this journey!
