Full Knee Replacement
I've been scheduled for a full
knee
replacement
on Thursday next week (will have a friend stay with me for the first week). Does anyone have any hints and tips? I will buy a grabber thingy and have been looking at gadgets to help me put socks on - but am confused by all the different sorts.

Total knee replacement
I’m 6 days post total left
knee
replacement
and struggling! I have no muscle strength to help my rehabilitation. The Physio is expecting me to lift my operated leg up and to bend it but I just haven’t got the physical strength to do so.

Knee replacement
I have had one knee replaced a few years ago and now have extreme pain, bone on bone, in the other knee. I asked my GP for a referral and he said to try injections as there’s a long waiting list! (I’ve tried these before and they only offered temporary and not much relief!) Can I insist on a referral

Total knee replacement
19 days post op - been very tough especially when COVID thrown into the mix! My muscle tone wasn’t great pre-op but is now nonexistent. Is it possible to build muscle tone with PMR? Without PMR it’s possible to build good muscle tone with regular exercises but no matter how frequently I do my post op

Knee replacement - biologics
Had an appt with
knee
consultant today. Need a
replacement
done but he won’t commit to doing it until I get a ‘meds plan’ from my rheumatologist re biologics (I’ve recently started on Amgevita). He wants info on how long before surgery to stop taking it.

My question is has anyone had a
knee
replacement
or any surgery requiring pain meds and if so what pain meds have you used to get through the 2 weeks after surgery?

Post total knee replacement
Anyone who has had a total
knee
replacement
had more pain in the hip area than the
knee
. Having a job to keep my knee straight at night as keep waking up every hour with tremendous pain in the hip and end up getting up and having a walk round. It's inhibiting my physio as well.

Knee relacement
Hi, I have osteoarthritis in my left
knee
and am now scheduled for a half
knee
replacement
in a couple of weeks time. I was wondering if anyone has had one recently? I am wondering how long it will take to recover and any other useful insights people might have?

Total knee replacement?
I have RA, diagnosed at Christmas 2020. I also have buggered knees - I believe that is the correct medical term - that pre-date the RA diagnosis. At my last (final?) RA consultation the consultant showed me a beautiful X-ray of my knees. Nice bones, absent cartilage. He had previously mentioned knee

right knee replacement
It’s been a slow trip fighting arthritis on top of recurring PCA. Still on a Lupron vacation. Osteopenia cleared up after 21 months with only bicalutamide, T rose to 226, and PSA has stayed less than 0.1. I finally have a new knee! It‘s painful but every night is a bit better than the night before

CLL diagnosis
Hello all, I have just been diagnosed with CLL, because of a blood test in preparation for
knee
replacement
surgery! I have a no symptoms other than mild fatigue. The encologist said this disease doesn’t mean that it’s the end. Some people go for years without symptoms.
