Hello,

I am here for my 8 year old daughter who has been battling JIA for 7 + years. She is currently taking methotrexate and was on enbrel but had some sort of allergic reaction so we are stopping it. I would love to hear from people with similar stories or maybe even some medication recommendations. I am all ears!! I have attached a picture of the injection site after 2 days which was also followed by a full body rash.

Hi

my son is 8 diagnosed about 7 years ago too he had methotrexate then Etenercept he now has 6 weekly infusions in hospital of inflixamab which is better for him as he didn't like me injecting him he takes sulfasalazine as well each day morning and night he is happy with this and he is pain free at the min. Hope this helps.

Thank you for responding! I'm glad your son is doing better. I will have to mention these to her doctor to see if this is an option for her!

It's great that these drugs are available now and children don't get the joint deformities we had. I wish them well.
