I had itp since I was 6 year old they try everything from bone marrow to removing my spleen to steroids one thing that I found out that helps me  is rituximab then I get it it last for about 9 months

Hello yes I had itp 20 years ago with no treatment. Then it came back 3 years ago. December 2015 I had ritaxamub and to date my platelets have been 370. My consultant very pleased with results so we will wait and see.

here a question for anyone is ithe safe to have a baby cause I really want one but I don't want the  bay or I to dor

I have itp during pregnancy. although doc says it safe, I didn't take the steroids for maintenance. I was afraid that it might affect the baby regardless what they say. my protective instinct took over to protect the baby & didn't care if my life is in danger.  when I gave birth, I was low on my platelets so I gave birth with no pain killer or epidural... endure the pain for the sake of baby but they will drug you with the steroids right after giving birth from losing a lot of blood for several days. I lost consciousness one night but the baby cried enough to call the nurse to our room & saved me. probably, it's my determination to get through it that also made a difference. make sure you eat well, with itp... you need a lot of very green leafy vegetables to help clot & avoid blood thinners during your pregnancy.
