The range for
intrinsic
factor
test
result is any result below 1.21u/ml (negative )and above 1.53u/ml (positive). I was informed my result was 1.63. Yes, no measurements of u/ml.

my story
So I was eventually given an
intrinsic
factor
test
. But all this only surfaced when I’d suffered a minor stroke late August this year, and was admitted to hospital for 4days.

If taking B12 supps skew's PA Intrinsic Factor test, does it do the same for Gastric Parietal Cell AB too?
Hi Everyone, Im a bit out of my depth here and wondered if you could help please. Ive taken B Complex for nearly 25 years, I do wonder whether serum levels have always been scuppered, as I read again that to do a credible PA , MMA test I needed to be off B12 for minimum 4- 6 moths , possibly longer

positive then negative intrinsic factor
hi guys, I had a positive
intrinsic
factor
blood
test
back in April and this was before any b-12 injections. Since then, the doctors have wanted to do two other intrinsic factor blood tests and both came back negative and the doctors are confused why is this? Thanks, Ella (:

Antibodies Negative
I was feeling extremely weak lethargic, pins and needles etc and my b12 came back pretty low (167) started injections but now the doctor tells me that the test for my antibodies came back negative which means I do not have PA and that they will not do an

Loading doses
She then arranged for
intrinsic
factor
test
. The results said "borderline - no need to do anything". A week or so ago she phoned me to inform me I do not have PA, however she prescribed me cyno pills with a blood test form for March next year.

Intrinsic factor antibody result
Hi all, I've only just seen the result of an
Intrinsic
Factor
Antibody
test
that was done in December before I started SI which I don't know how to interpret. I got a result of 2 u/ml (reference range is 0-24 u/ml). Is that a positive or a negative result? Does that confirm PA or not?

MMA result
Hi allJust got medichecks result which shows high lMMA level: 34.8ug/l (less than 32) Previous medichecks active B12 was 48.1 pmol/l (37.5-150) (they advised MMA
test
)
Intrinsic
factor
antibodies negative (mum had PA) Does high MMA result indicate a functional b12 deficiency as opposed to dietary deficiency

Raised MMA result
Hi everyone Have written before about my low active B12 results(medichecks). Latest one had been 36.7 (37.5~188). My previous 3 were slowly dropping from 60s to 50s to 40s. Advised to do MMA by medichecks. Eventually afforded one last week which came back high 38.5 (<32). They are now suggesting

Zypan?
Hi everyone. Just wondering if anybody here is taking Zypan or have taken it before? Just watched a really helpful video from Dr Berg on YouTube on PA where he mentions this helps to absorb B12 if there is a lack of intrinsic factor
