Doubts Regarding Cataract Surgery

I have a cataract and need surgery. Though before going to a clinic I need someone to help me with the doubts I am having in my mind.

Heard it may cause retinal detachment and dry eye in the patients. Also, the cloudy lens is broken into pieces with the help of an ultrasound device. To me, it seems like there are some risks involved in the procedure and I'm worried because of the same.

Can someone tell me whether it's safe or not? Also, please suggest me a good eye specialist in Toronto.
