It's a great way to say thanks

I'm the co-founder of ICUsteps Hastings and today I had the chance to give a personal thanks to the board of East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust who invited myself and one of our co-founder ICU nurses to do a presentation on the difficulties people have while in ICU, the transfer to wards and the lack of understanding from staff and finally how long recovery can take, I glad to say it was well received along with our plans for the future which include community outreach support to run along side our drop-in meetings and our presentations to ward staff on the difficulty ICU patients can suffer on transfer to a ward.

For me personally it's a great way to say thanks for saving my life and hopefully help others through what we all know is a very difficult time.
