Hello I was in hospital with an infection in my fallopian tube which I had removed but resulted in sepsis and pneumonia. I was in an induced coma and paralyzed for 12 days. I nearly lost my life 3 times but eventually came off the ventilator. All I can remember is hearing my son and sister. So just wanted to say to everyone not to give up. I don't remember anything they said but heard there voices. I was in CCU for 3 weeks and on a ward for another 3 weeks. I am now being rehabilitated at my sister's house with the community health services help. It's now been 8 weeks and I now can walk with a frame, talk (after having 1/2 my larynx paralyzed) and my appetite has started to return and have even managed to sit outside in the sunshine. There are good days and bad days but with help you get stronger every day. I just want others to realise that you do get better slowly however long it takes. Just take one day at a time and make little goals.
