Does she have a chance?

My mum was taken into ICY 8 days ago after an overdose of insulin. We suspect she had taken it before bed and going 7 am next morning. She hasn't woken up yet and is not responsive. CAT scan didn't show any signs of severe brain damage. She has been taken off all medication and sedation for 5 days but is breathing on her own with a little help. She will open her eye and lift her arms and feet and respond if you nip her like she was in pain. They are going to remove all medication and machinery this week and said they think all her movements are not her by just reflexes. Please can anyone tell me if they have been through this and come out of it albeit with only slight brain damage? Thanks
