My wife has said I get annoyed quicker than I used to.

I can certainly relate to that. Almost the simplest of situations can set off an angry response.

I was the same, it is two years in October since I left ICU and I know myself that I was snapping at people for very little reason. I am not so bad now but still have my moments. Perhaps this is what I will always be like now.

On the contary to what others have said, I am now less argumentative, quieter and shyer. I find being in public alone very hard and have lost a lot of confidence. I avoid confrontation and tend just just "let things go". I have found that my experience has led to me realising that things just "don't matter", and only concentrating on the big things.

Oh yes, what a change! It is very hard to try to come to terms with, and causes many a "Flare up ",I feel unsupported now,as my husband just says "Life is too short "
