Hi I am 10 days post OP from lap hysterectomy. Questions my belly button is so sore feels like something is inside and pressing on the sides. Is that the stitches ? Tried to look in but the more I looked the more I was making it sore . When will the stitches dissolve? And do they just come out of the belly button or do I need to take them out?

Hey, my belly button was sore for around 2 weeks. The stitches are dissovable but sometimes they do need cutting out which they can do at the gp surgery. I had all of mine removed by a nurse as they didn't dissolve but it was fine and didnt hurt. If worried just hive the doctor a call hope recovery goes well!!
