I'm approx. 5 months post TLH BSO and on a high dose of combined patch to control my endometriosis regrowth in year 1 and batt away migraines....
As my patch is high it means the progesterone is also high which apparently has a sedative effect, I remember it certainly made me sleepy during pregnancy.
My issues are that I'm practically exhausted all the time, I'm 39 and care for my 4 year old who's due to start nursery in September. I am a FT mum at present with house duties.
At the moment I wake up feeling like aim hungover and see to my son and collapse on the sofa beside him, I literally have 2 coffees and yet feel like it's hours before I feel semi awake but the overwhelming urge to stay in bed is rife.
Has anyone asked their GP for testosterone? Is it beneficial for any other reason than sex drive?
I've tried this week AGAIN to start back into my exercise regime and my back has been killing me since I did my routine on Monday. A stiff lower back like in the early days of the operation trying to mop etc has turned very sore like the pain I used to get pre hysterectomy with my endometriosis etc. I'm on strong painkillers.
I feel like my attempts to try to get some semblance of my life back keep getting thrown back in my face. I get more energy when I exercise yet I'm in so much pain that I am afraid of hurting possibly still healing muscle and ligaments etc. I don't know if there is much healing left at 5 months post op?
I have not managed to lose any weight yet and feel my hrt combined with medication for anxiety has my appetite up.
I really always need to exercise to be in the zone to control my diet too.
I am not giving myself much of a break, I'm impatient yes, but I am 3 stone heavier than my typical weight and just hating that I can't seem to get a run of things without pain.
Any support or advice would be much appreviated.
