Hello I am 55 and was sent for a hysteroscopy as I had a very light period after the allotted 12 month line. I had all the symptoms of a period, but the doctor thought it best to check it anyway. went yesterday... not very pleasant. The doctor said that the images were not clear, she could not see the lining, there appeared to be blood in the womb - she took a biopsy and I am waiting. Having googled, it appears that if you are having a period, this could hamper the images - just wondering if anyone else had the same experience? Thanks x

I'm sorry, I have no experience of the symptoms you describe, but I know post menopausal bleeding can be cause for concern. 😕
