Healing walk

Healing walk

Took a very gentke walk around the block (5 minutes) to take in this view 😊 I can feel the healing powers of the sunshine and sea air 😊

How much/how far is it safe to walk do you think? I'm on day 6 post op (TAH BSO) I am fit and walk regularly. All the advice suggests no lifting/carrying, (no mention of fighting the anti-embolism stockings!!! Lol πŸ˜‚) So I am presuming I just listen to my body?

Thank you 😊

  • Hi anna

I seem to remember that I was advised to increase by 5-10 mins a week, wear sensible shoes and sturdy knickers ! And to stop if I was tired

You are doing so fab , your fitness must have been good before your op

  • 😊 I LOL at "sturdy knickers" πŸ˜‚

Think I've been very lucky, no sickness, a little wind, no constipation and good family and friend support 😊

thank you for your suggestion, 5-10 minute increase sounds good 😊

  • Have a great recovery :-) and accept any help offered x

  • Thank you 😊 Had my staples out today- yikes! Was I scared 😜 But didn't feel a thing!! Nurse was saying they give a stronger faster healing time, hence coming out after 7 days, and honestly didn't hurt at all 😊😊😊

Pretty pooped now but that's the first week of healing done 😊

  • Glad today went ok for you xx
