Hi, has anybody had hysterectomy via abdominal incision? How was your recovery - physically, emotionally? Sorry for the impersonal approach but I am due to have same operation on 7th January and I'm in need of advice. Thank you.

I too am interested in any answers to your question as I am just waiting on a date for my op 
I'm having a sub total hysterectomy via lap and have been told I will have it before the end of Feb 14. I'm curious as to how long others have taken to recover as I work for an agency and only get SSP whilst off
