London Bridge tomorrow.

I'm off to see Prof Hughes tomorrow. I am so lucky to be able to do this so easily.

Trouble is I feel really guilty as I gave up Plaquenil after 2 months due to a return of my tinnitus. I'm don't know how he will feel about this, I am afraid there is probably nothing else available to me now.

I feel bad too as I have tried so hard to get INR up to 3.5 as he asked and failed as it just falls every time.

Oh well wish me luck.

Hi jade

Good luck and Prof is such a nice, kind man.

If you are having trouble with Warfarin and INR see if he will transfer you to Fragmin. He did me and I've never looked back.

Best wishes.

I chased my INR up and down the scale for six months but with help, did eventually nail it. You will too, especially if you're in Prof Hughes' care. An experienced haematology nurse who understands your condition can work with you to keep that seemingly elusive INR target in range. It's worth it and so are you! John.

Good luck Jade! :)

Good luck I hope it goes well

Maybe you can talk to him about only taking Plaquenil once a day instead of twice? It may be possible to get some benefit with a lesser dose maybe?

Hope all went well with your appointment- just realized you have probably already been seen.

Kristina I was only taking 2 pills per week. So not a lot I can do to go down. The prof agrees it can make tinnitus worse in some with a history of tinnitus.

So that's it for that wonder drug. It was having a good effect but I would rather be in pain than have very load tinnitus.
