Hi. Can anyone tell me if with hughes they suffer or have ever suffered from quick stabbing pains in hands or legs or arms which last a second or to for a few minutes then go, I get very worried about new symptoms and very anxious which doesn't help me at all.

Many thanks.

Oh yes. Certain to make a person believe they are a hypochondriac.

I have laid in bed some times, lovely and comfy then shoulder pain, gone, leg pain, gone, knee pain, gone etc.

Crazy and no rhyme or reason for it.

I get random stabbing pains, usually when I am quiet, here, there, and then gone. I have no idea what or why.

Me to., it feels like sudden onset migraine pain ( I suffer from hempiligic migraine). But it gone within seconds. I've stopped worrying about mine now as it just part me and my Hughes.

Yes yes yes!! Very worrying at times. Stabbing pains all over but most common in my left calf. X

Yes I get sharp needle like pains all over especially in bed at night. From my toes to my head and every where in between. All intermittent and brief, never know where the next will be. This is along with the general muscle and joint pain. It keeps me awake sometimes, and can be very distressing.

Definitely sounds familiar! Stabbing pain in arms, legs or chest which can be so intense that I may let out a loud scream. Gone within the next few seconds...

I get these on the insides of my arms and inside my legs? They don't stay there, but nasty at the time. Mary F x

Hi, I think it is Hughes. It is because we can develop tiny clots in our vessels any where..if it is in the muscles, say in the hands or feet then we will get these sharp pains. With luck the tiny clot moves on and we get relief. We have thick blood that moves slowly so that the blood can develop clots easily. I get stomach/intestine pains and if they are bad enough I take another baby aspirin and within 20 minutes the pain is gone....thins the blood.

Yes, I used to get this all the time. I've been fine since pregnancy and taking heparin injections.

Yes I get them all over the place. Lately I have been getting them in my ribs on the RHS but sometimes I get them on the right side.
