Hi, I had a blood test done for the glycoprotein 1 on Monday 11th March 2013 and the results still haven't come back. I had the other two tests for hughes in December and both came back slightly abnormal. I was just wondering how long it took for other peoples bloods to come back and what they need to be to get a diagnosis? The dr's at my surgery are useless.

Hi there, you need to press the doctors there for a referral to a rheumatologist/haematologist with the knowledge, and if not happy think of changing GP practice, on recommendation of people in your area who can say who is good. We do also have a database of nearest professionals on our HSF website. Mary F x
Hi, it took more than a month for my first blood test to come back. This is probably just NHS delay in the appointments and not of the blood test itself. This was at St. Mary's in London.
