As you know I regularly put this petition on here: This is because I deeply care about the way people are treated whether they are a patient or a member of the medical community. I hate the formal complaints system which often leaves patients without care - or medics without a job if they flag up colleagues not behaving how they should do! I would rather people put stuff right without layers of costly box ticking and over defensive behaviour, if something is wrong, put it right as quickly as possible, if attitudes are wrong, move to change them etc etc, money better spent on front line staff etc etc.

This paper champions a fairer way forward for both sides: and also today's articles are relevant to this cause!

epetitions.direct.gov.uk/pe... I have SIGNED it myself and SHARED it everywhere via EMAIL and ANYWHERE:

Oh and this useful bit of information pinched from another forum:

European Medicines Agency boosts EU transparency with online publication of suspected side effect reports

Member States and the Agency release data on medicines in compliance with EudraVigilance access policy.

The European Medicines Agency has today begun publishing suspected side effect reports for medicines authorised in the European Economic Area (EEA) on a new public website: adrreports.eu. The reports come directly from the European Union (EU) medicines safety database EudraVigilance, and are one of the many types of data used by regulators to monitor the benefits and risks of a medicine once authorised. The launch of the new website is part of the Agency’s continuing efforts to ensure EU regulatory processes are transparent and open and is a key step in the implementation of the EudraVigilance access policy. adrreports.eu./
