I think we can guess which one!! I KNEW it sounded like APS when I was reading about it, but damn I sure hope it isn't for his sake!

Can you post a link to the article?

oh my god.......well done Kristina for letting us know about this & well done to Emma for finding it!

I hope he hasn't too.....but it does sound like it does'nt it?

Shame it may take someone famous to make this horrid disorder public & maybe starting to get it funded well to find a cure one day :/ for everyone with it.

I wish him ok as I do all of you x

The PE's were caused by the mild kidney failure he had. The kidney failure came first, then the blood clots.. They are calling it " lupus like" autoimmune disease. It sounds like lupus to me.. Did you guys know Courtney Cox ( aka) monica from Friends has APS? That is why she only has one child, she has had several misscarriages, and had a real hard time having Coco her daughter.

I read his kidney issues were related to clots, not the other way around......

Yes, Courtney Cox doesn't say much about having it though.

Hi All,

I know the Hughes Syndrome Foundation when talking to them that this guy has already been picked up by the APSFA so if he was to do any work i think it would be for them. We also looked into Courtney Cox but she has not been very public about her APS. So i think it iis good publicity on APS so will see what they say as we always hget this OH dear its a shame then it all goes aways we need sustained publicity and support these things are good for one hit headlines.

Sorry to sound like a grump but we had this before and it was great but then the celeb either does not want to be involved (private reasons which is fine everyones choice) but we need a more open public figure.

So glad he is alright and lets see what happens next.

I understand why she didnt want it public maybe at the time.....but just think what difference she could do if she pulled a few strings?!!

Surely with the research that was already done gave her the help & support she needed for her little one? & stopped any more heartache her way.... so why doesn't she want to give something back?

We are all trying to do our bit with awareness but someone like that would really make a difference :(

Ok...we'll just have to try even harder to help others after us etc, I'm still waiting to see my piece in the paper etc for awareness, I will keep you updated my Hughie family xx

Apparently, it was confirmed in an interview that he has lupus nephritis.

A lot of women who have suffered miscarriages find it very difficult to talk about them - Courtney Cox is not the only one out there but it's finding someone willing to go public. I think it's simply too personal for most women - they might do if they have a success story but, if not, they normally just want to move on and put it behind them.

Mmm - my alerts have shown up this message today:

It seems that someone isn't convinced it's lupus! Our Twitter guru is going to try to link up with him so I will keep you posted if there is any other news.
