I am confused. The Government website in the UK where it says who should get the vaccine lists over 60 (I’m 50) clinically extremely vulnerable (nope) people who are at moderate risk (clinically vulnerable)
When you look into that in amongst that info it lists “having a condition affecting the brain or nerves (such as Parkinson’s, motor neurone disease, MS, or cerebral palsy)”
Would you say as someone with Cerebral APS with similar issues as MS with large parts of my brain dead I am in this class of people?
Just want to canvass some opinions as don’t want to wast my GP’s time or call St Thomas’s to ask.

Hi, at the moment I think GP's do seem to be helping people like us access the vaccine, it would be worth emailing your GP or GP's secretary and putting a brief question to them, copying in your specialist(s), I did quite early on and it got a result, especially as myself and children and in particular myself have dire allergic reactions. The condition lists are only a guide, and they don't include rare conditions (because (a) they're rare and (b) there are way too many of them to list). The CEV definition has/had (it does change) an explicit category of "your clinician or GP has added you to the Shielded Patient List..." to cover all the rarer things (and combinations thereof).
There is debate amongst doctors over who exactly should be on the lists, and people do get moved on and off (both because of varying doctors' opinions _and_ because more is known about covid).
The CV definition _used_ to say it included anyone who is normally told to get flu vaccine on medical grounds, looks like they may have dropped that now, but if (at age 50) you are on the flu vaccine list it would definitely be worth calling and maybe saying you understood that you were CV on that basis.
It does seem to be a bit of a lottery though, I am CEV (and got letters with Matt Hancock's signature on to prove it) but only got my vaccination invite on the day they said they'd hit the target (Feb15). The following day I got another invite, for my 19yr old son from his Uni GP (100+ miles away from where he is). Why they sent his invite to me, or what in his medical history triggered his eligibility is a complete mystery to all of us.
I’m on the CEV list due to my APS - you absolutely should have been placed on that list by your GP and/or your APS Consultant. Thrombosis (listed as thromboembolism), regardless of cause are now on the updated lists for priority to the vaccine. I work in the NHS and have attached the updated lists my hospital have issued so hope it helps. It won’t let me add the other photo but I’ll try and upload once I’ve sent this.
Hi, I have MS and because APS can mimic it even down to a MRI I got checked in 2007. After numerous tests, whole body MRI etc it was the lumbar puncture that gave the result to Dr. D’Cruz. I have both so like you I’m greedy!! I take Clopidogrel every day, I’ve never used anything else.
I got the astra zenica jab 25.2.21 I felt extreamly tired that evening, slept right through till pm next day from 9 night beforehand. I only had an ache in I jection site my INR range is 2.5 to 3.0 and I've been great I hope this helps someone. I would take this as I've read some people on here saying it's far worse than an episode and their is no way I'm going through that again.
