INR Nurses

I know we all like to moan about our INR clinics wether nurse led or hospital based.

I spoke to the nurses this morning who were wonderful as others have been.

I feel very fortunate that they are so good and they always ask what do you think, your the one who has to cope with all this and you prob know better than we do.

It’s very refreshing especially after the docs in hosp had a bit of a fit when my INR was high and they wanted to give me Vit k, that wasn’t going to happen.

I knew there was a reason I moved to the North!

Love and hugs

Great, I often write up clinics myself and family use on NHS Choices, and the comments get fed back to the relevant teams. MaryF

I started on warfarin 10yrs ago and until May was self testing with the support of my GP's surgery. Things changed when the specialist GP in charge of the clinic left so I was transferred to my local hospital. The nurses there are very good and know their stuff - I can phone them Monday to Friday and ask for duty doctor out of hours. It is better too because all my INR results will be on the hospital website.

I live in the South East!
