Texas is a very progressive state, ( AustinTexas is a huge Bio tech city ) and this horrific act of violence in no way reflects the sentiments of its citizens, as I’m sure you already know.

Texas is left reeling.

My older sister ( by 20 years) and her husband ( a progressive Attorney) live in El Paso. It is like a second home to me, as I spent part of my summers in El Paso with my sister and brother and law and his family. He works hand in hand with the district attorney’s office, and his uncle was the district judge of El Paso for many years.

This has been particularly devastating for my sister’s husband’s family as he is Jewish. This Jewish line came from Eastern Europe through Mexico seeking safety from persecution.
