I wish it were in the US😞

Just saying it would be nice if the US would host something here

They do. It rotates. So it just depends on where it ends up. You have obviously missed it when it was last hosted in the USA.

Do you know when that was and how often it comes around?

It was in Galveston Texas, actually! About 10 years ago maybe. You’d have to look it up. Actually a really awful city in Texas... Austin or San Antonio would have been ideal if Texas we’re hosting.

Galveston however was researching. Dr Angela - P, ( I think her name was.. I’m in a migraine -that I can’t break - my INR has tanked- so not looking things up right now- all from vague memory-)but she sadly passed- in her prime really.

Galveston is still doing nice work, but they really lost a lovely leading lady. I have great hope and I’m sure they will carry on nicely.

I have every intention of attending since I live half an hour from Manchester! I’ve even told my GP he should go as he lives in Manchester.

I remember the last one, it was due to be held in turkey but got switched due to conflict, but I don’t remember seeing much about the outcome of the meeting.

I do hope it brings about positive changes and better understanding - for both patients snd Drs!

A good question.

I live near enough to attend. However, it looks like an event for researchers.

I'd love to attend if possible?!

Wish it was Manchester N.H.--Ha ha we have so many cities and towns with the same names ---- { Go Figure } Ha ha we still have land grants to this day that were given by lords and kings and all and they are left untouched to this day - i pass thru one every time i go to Dartmouth Hitchcock -Lebanon N H Enfield i think . It would be nice to go to one , but it would have to be some close for me to attend.

Hay Kel hope you feel better soon there my friend -- they suck - i haven't had one in a long time and i know what your going thru - BE BETTER ,

Belated Happy birthday, sorry you had to experience a migraine on your day. Hmm, glad youre feeling better. I hope this didnt have anything to do with new treatment?

KellyInTexas can you help me?

I’m not sure what you are asking of me, Cindy.

Dr Robin Brey ( female) is one of my consultant APS Specialist Neurologists at the university of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio Texas.

A specialized building within that complex is called the ,” MARC” , Medical Arts Research Center.

She is not a treating neurologist of mine- this was her decision. It was a joint decision between the two of us.

She is published, you can look up anything you want on her. I don’t know what you want to look up. She uses her first two initials. Then last name.

I believe the international congress was in Galveston Texas - google and see what comes up- I don’t have any papers on it. Sorry about that.

Update for you:

I did a quick search and put the following sentence in the search bar: “international congress APS Galveston Texas”

Articles popped up immediately with that one single search.

It was the 13th international congress. It was in Galveston. It was indeed associated with the university of Texas - medical branch in Galveston. And yes Prof. RL Brey as I mentioned, and yes- the late Prof. ( Rheum ) SS Pierangeli. Both women chair( ed) their respectful departments. .

I will let you type in your own searches as many come up. I don’t know what it is you want to look up. You can refine your particular interest from here. The information will not be current research as it’s from 2010.

Up/ down.

INR had plummeted for me. So I had to bridge with heparin- that was the migraine culprit and issues with reading.

Now it’s too high as if yesterday. INR was 6.76.

A little too high.

I’m in the mountains on spring break skiing holiday- with family- a whole big gang of us- 12 of us in all- celebrating spring break and my big “50!”

Big snow storm in southern Rockies of New Mexico last night and today. Ski resort experiencing 80 mph winds/ most of mountain closed/ lift lines closed.

Being a Swiss family- it’s black diamonds or bust for my bezerkers. So every one is home cooking and watching movies. Video games... two houses two streets apart- between us- teenage boys up to all sorts of shenanigans.)

We are remodeling a great retro home ( 1978 - think Brady bunch home to a T ) right now- so I’ve set up the master bedroom in the living room while the real master is gutted and being remodeled. I like the master bedroom in the living room actually! It has the fire place... it’s quite cozy!

It’s fun / nuts! ( I do have a doctor here and a standing order- for PT/ INR.)

Got thru procedure ok after 3 attempts But all's good so far blood today last of bridging so if in mid range -i can stop Enox and drop from 10 to 5 ?? we shall see on that and then have Appointment with supervising nurse - now these are always FUN -- Shannon has been with me 7 years i think it is now we argue like brother and sister -- i told her once boy it's a good thing we never married -- {she is half my age } but we truly have a good time and i am her only patient i think -- she is not suppose to have patients anymore -- especially an impatient patient like myself;f !! Kelly sand skiing pic's !! love to see the mountains out there . I use to ski no more - just my bike and hiking -[MILD } and hunting is it
