Info for GP needed re Coagucheck strip irregularities.

Is there a paper that I can give to my GP re the Coagucheck strip irregularities as I had a 0.9 difference between Coagucheck and venous blood test? Coagucheck being the higher reading.

I rang the number you suggested and felt as though I was hitting my head against a brick wall as I was told that it is my APS that is the problem not their strips. I was also informed they are bringing out new strips in November 2018 - why if they don't have a problem?! We shall wait and see what the results are then.

There is no published information that I know of apart from the Roche statements on their website. There possibly won't ever be - I am not sure if the area(s) collecting the data are bound to contracts or non-disclosures with Roche.

If you call Roche and admit you have APS they will very probably just blame any difference on that, despite the fact that in my area the clinics are not being allowed to use the machines for _any_ patients.

I would simply ask for all tests to be done venous until (a) Roche says it's fixed and (b) you have a several venous comparison results with the new fixed strips and they agree (or at least have consistent predictable difference). Decide whether it is safe based on your data for you, we're all so different that no one else's data matters.

Thanks for the information. It is useful and I will tell my GP tomorrow. Roche are due to ring me!
