I have been diagnosed with APS and am trying to connect the dots on a lot of symptoms so wondered if anyone else suffers with heavy twitchy restless leg syndrome?

Yes extremely bad, I have five overlapping conditions, but since I started taking magnesium, unless very ill with nasty virus, this has virtually gone! Do check with GP or consultant first though. You can either buy it in pill form, or a spray for the skin! Mary F

I too suffer with restless legs and the twitching, jerking, especially at night or when relaxing in the evening. My doc prescribed amitriptilline (spelling), this has helped a little. Might be worth a try.

I'm experiencing more pain in my legs. I've had known APS for about 12 years, diagnosed after DVT. I can't stand for any length of time without weakness and pain, and it's really frustrating.

Your pain in your legs sound horrible, and more than frustrating. Have you discussed with your GP or specialist?

Look forward to discussing more.

Again welcome.

i get them too - i had to get diazepam in the end just to sort it out, the twitching and jerking woke me up and the restless legs were horrendous!

Sometimes I find wearing the travel socks helps so might be worth a try. I'd actually forgotten that was why I have been wearing my travel socks a lot lately! Even have them on now ...stupid fuzzy head!

I get this in my left leg, jumpy and jerky and, like many of you, only when lying down. I've found mine is removed by eating salt at the time it jumps-either a packet crisps or just several dabs of salt on my finger. I also find that if I have too much salt my pain patches itch ike mad!

I found this to unbearable; I later on linked it to peri menopause; once I started bio identical hormone replacement, the electric current zaps went away. I have a lot of friends who, around the age of 50 also experienced this.

Yes, My was diagnosed as having Chorea. This has a connection to APS. I take the drug ropinole it really helps!!!
