What a price tag!

I ordered it. I'll let you know. It is expensive for a casual read. Since our medical experts are not as well organized around APS here in the midwest (USA), thought I would educate myself and continue to pass it along to the medical community that I interact with here in Chicago.

Also my son needs a research project for his high school independent research class (he is now 17). Since he survived APS (underweight at 5 lbs full term) as a newborn, he has decided to do some laboratory research in APS! This compendium should help him focus his research.

Hi,

I agree with APsnotFab here.

I have tried to educate myself for the last 5 years about my illness (primary APS) as I have belonged to this fantastic site! A couple of years ago I bought totally 6 books written by prof Hughes, Triona Holden and Kay Thackray.

I think APsnotFab who knows much about HS/APS and other autoimmun illnesses connected with HS/APS from her own experience , is right about the contents. I like to hear a story based on the persons own experiences.

You can read a lot of informative things about HS/APS on the internet also but to read it from the Doctor who found the illness 30 years ago and from his experience with patients that is something.

I like "Highways and Byways" written by prof Hughes.

"Sticky Blood Explained" by Kay Thackray I have suggested for members to read at least 60 times if not more during my time here.

I am today 73 years old and have been tripple-positive with very high titres since 2002. I live in Stockholm/Sweden and have finally got fantastic Specialists around me. I am primary APS.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!

I wish your son good luck with his research project on HS/APS.
