I have been experimenting with an increased INR for better therapeutic reaults. What I need to know is, when u have ur INR's above 3.0 are u brusing easiky? As in the bruses when u can not remember hitting that area to cause a bruise. I tend to bruise mostly on my hands, arms and thighs. Do u have this issues with the elevated INR results? Any advice u give me would be most appreciated.

Thank you

As always, take good care of urself & have a great day!

Hi Soulrebel

My inrs have to be around 3.5 to just feel relatively normal. I do bruise more easily with me its legs n arms. I have had some bruises for 14 months they don't go away easily.

I don't mind the bruising too much though now live in trousers or long dresses

I agree with Dobiedogz. I am rather high as you know. No trouble.

Kerstin, just to clarify I was not tryng to say look at me in smart. I was tryng to show what APS can and will take from you. Its extremely frustrating for me to not be able to think straight and to have a hard time with getting my words out. Not to mention tryng to remember what im talking about or what was just said to me. The one thing APS hasn't taken or significantly changed is my odd sense of humor. That for me is how I deal with things. Last week, I think, when I had a TIA after it was over ibtold my husband that it was ok, when u have APS anything that ddoesn't kill me only makes me dummer. Of course he did not c the humor in it. But I cant sit an cry about it. Crying only gives you a headache so I have to laugh about it. Its my way of copping. :)

When I asked "how are you" I reply "fine" if I told the truth and gave the full list there would be a lot of yawning!! The list is endless 😊

I don't bruise easily when my INR is high - my range is 3.5-4.0. If I go above 4 although I feel great my gums bleed a lot when I clean my teeth and I have had a nose bleed or two - all this reduces once back in range, but also my productivity goes back into normal range rather than being extra revved!

Warfarin and INR levels are like a double edged sword. To high you bleed to low u stroke. I just got to find that happy medium I guess. Thank you!

I'm a little concerned with your opening remark 'I have been experimenting with an increased INR'. Do you not have a target range as discussed with you consultant? Warfarin is lethal in the wrong dose and even the right doses can cause problems. Beware of experimenting with it.

No worries my dr is on boars with trying higher levels as todays test showed 3.3 and I has a TIA yesterday morning. We work together but aren't afraid to try what other more successful patients are doing.

Thank you for your concern.
