The jury is currently a bit divided on this issue currently. I am not on them, and neither will I be, as I have such awful and dangerous reactions to new drugs, that they would be out of reach to me anyway. However many feel better of them, and some do not! MaryF

I am not on Statins, and of course as many of you know despite clots in my legs years ago, I have remained fairly stable on Aspirin twice a day, however I do take a host of supplements and also LDN and natural desiccated thyroid, my diet is gluten free as it causes me terrible allergies, and other than that my diet is Mediterranean. Do I limited sugar? and refined food, well yes! I work very hard on diet and exercise, and hope it helps me. MaryF

Hi there.

I agree with my colleague, Mary.

It is worth reading 'The Great Cholesterol Con' by Dr. Malcolm Kendrick, a book that Mary recommended to me.

You agree then that taking Statin is a waste of time and money

Well for me it was, I stopped and I lost over a stone. But I am not medically trained, as none of us on here are, so you must take medical advice. I made my decision after reading the book.

I think they work for some and not for others, as said above the jury is out on them, the medical profession appear to be split on this issue. MaryF
